The Competition

I am all about sharing my "limited" knowledge about photography to most anyone! There are MANY, MANY, MANY photographers that have been so kind and generous to share info with me, so the least I can do is pay it forward! BUT, when someone comes and tries to take over, I am not so willing to help them.

A week or so ago I went to take pictures of Nicholas' new puppy and there was another photographer there! I got everything setup and I hear, "move Nana, I take picture"!

Happy New Year!!!

I know...it's been awhile since I have posted on my blog, but I'm BACK! Exciting things are happening for me and my photography venture and I will be sharing them with you!

First, I must share with you the new addition to the Lewis family! Nicholas has a puppy and he absolutely loves her! I thought for sure he would be afraid of her, but that's not the case. Meet PRINCESS(named by Nicholas)!

Miss B.

Miss B came to visit me all the way from Mississippi! Well, she didn't come just to see me...BUT! But, while she was here she came to see me and I took the opportunity to take some Christmas pictures for her mom. Miss B. was a pleasure to photograph, any child that is willing to let me take their pictures is a pleasure to photograph!!

Yea Mon!

Beautiful blue water, ocean breeze, great food and drinks, and carefree days, those are some of the things Melvin and I enjoyed while vacationing in Jamaica. We were really sad when it was time to leave, but we knew we had to get back home to family, friends and a photoshoot!

On Saturday, I had my first maternity photoshoot! Holly, thank you so much for allowing me to capture pictures of you during this beautiful time in your life. I can't wait to meet your little guy once he enters this world. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Something different and artsy!

CUTENESS!!!

On Saturday, Nicholas had some of his friends over for a Halloween Party! They played ghost bowling, pass the pumpkin, Halloween treat hunt(think Easter egg hunt, but instead you hunt for bags of candy hidden in the back yard) and there was a cupcake decorating station!! The best part for me was taking pictues of the little ones. They came dressed in their Halloween costumes and I was surrounded by CUTENESS!!! Little ducks and pumpkins were just adorable as were the princess, the clown and even the pirate!

Here's an earlier picture of Nicholas in his costume. I didn't get any picutes yesterday because he only lasted about 10 minutes in his costume!!!

NO MORE!

I would share pics of him more often, but when I bring out my camera I get more of the "no Nana", "no pictures", I don't want to take ANY-MORE! But I just knew this time would be better becuase I included mom and dad and brought PawPaw along to entertain. That didn't matter, I still got the same results, NO MORE PICTURES, I WANT TO GO HOME! Oh, what will it take to get him to coorporate for me!!! Anyway, here are a few from our session...

Meet Chelsi...

I was given the opportunity to meet Chelsi last week. We spent a few hours together because even at 13 days old, Chelsi is already showing everyone who's the boss. The minute Chelsi was placed on the blanket to start her photoshoot, she would wake up! But, I am a pro at the waiting game, and I knew eventually she would fall asleep and I would win, and that is exactly what happened.
